AFC Whitchurch is one of Cardiff’s most vibrant and inclusive football clubs, proudly fielding 38 teams this season across all age groups and abilities. Among these teams, we’re proud to have over 400 children actively involved—including 70+ girls—making us one of the largest grassroots clubs in the region.

 

🏆 Founded in Whitchurch, Cardiff, our club has earned accolades including South Wales FA Club of the Year (2019). We’re a Football Association of Wales McDonald's Chartered Club, committed to excellence both on and off the pitch. 🏆

 

👕 Our teams wear Blue/Yellow and Grey, a nod to our heritage and the iconic church located in the grounds of Whitchurch Hospital, which features in our club badge. 👕

 

🌟 With over 500 registered players, AFC Whitchurch continues to grow, fostering talent and teamwork in a fun, safe, and competitive environment. We play a key role in the local community, offering children a place to belong, build friendships, and improve both their physical health and mental wellbeing through sport. Our club is more than just football—it’s a foundation for personal growth and lifelong memories. 🌟

 

🚶‍♂️ We also proudly offer Walking Football, providing a slower-paced, low-impact version of the game that’s perfect for older players or those returning to football after injury. 🚶‍♂️

 

🔵 The club currently has 3 Youth (U19) teams and 3 Senior teams competing across local leagues—showcasing our commitment to player development and competitive football at every level. 🔵
