Senedd yr Ysgol

The Primary School Senedd Pupil Voice Group is a central part of our commitment to empowering children and promoting active citizenship. Guided by the principles of the UNCRC (United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child), the Senedd ensures that every child has the right to be heard and involved in decisions that shape their school experience. Class representatives from Years 1 to 6 are democratically elected by their peers, with each class taking on specific responsibilities that contribute to the running and improvement of the school. These representatives also sit as part of our Senedd, where they collaborate on whole-school initiatives and share ideas from their classmates. Senior roles within the Senedd are appointed following interviews with the Headteacher and the Pupil Voice Lead, providing leadership opportunities and recognising pupils’ commitment to making a difference. Through this structure, the Senedd fosters a culture of respect, responsibility, and pupil-led change.
