Parents
At Hawthorn Primary School, the partnership between staff and parents is deeply valued and actively nurtured. The school recognises that strong, open communication and collaboration with families create a supportive environment where children can thrive both academically and emotionally. By working closely with parents, the school is able to better understand each child’s individual needs, celebrate their successes, and address any challenges early on. This partnership fosters a sense of shared responsibility and trust, which directly benefits the children - boosting their confidence, engagement, and overall wellbeing. When parents feel connected and involved, children are more likely to feel secure, motivated, and proud of their learning journey.
We are particularly proud of our half termly Parent Forum sessions which give parents a chance to present their opinions on all aspects of school life and more recently, our Grandparents Day where we recognise the wonderful role they play in the lives of our children here at Hawthorn.
